Removing the non removable

Some days ago I had the most awful problem in my ubuntu 10.10; I tried to install an iKey program and aptitude package manager crashed really bad. One of the required packages was in a “very bad inconsistent state” and couldn’t be reinstalled or removed. Actually, to be removed it demanded to be reinstalled…
